How long should memtest86 take to start from boot

I'm almost at my wits end with my machine, random errors after trying a simple memory upgrade. Windows memory test goes fine through two passes, but I get random crashes that I never had before on my old memory kit. So the next logical step was to use a better memory test software, but memtest86 just seems...terrible? It's been running for 10+ minutes and is only to "Getting SPD details...", this is like a 200mb program and it's not even running yet, is this normal? Will this type of performance make testing a weeks long task and should I just send this kit back?

My Current Setup:

AMD Ryzen 5900X

Kingston HyperX Fury 3200mhz 2x16GB

MSI B450 Gaming Plus

Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo

EVGA RTX 3060 Ti XC

Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2TB

WD 5400RPM 2TB

EVGA G3 750W

Corsair Carbide 300R

Arctic Fans 140mm x4 120mm x 1

I got it from their site, but I think it's now sorted-out, it got to the menu and has run flawlessly for a few hours now. This flash drive is super old, I've formatted it and put stuff on it many times in the last decade and a half, I think it might just be ready for the waste basket.

Ram has gone through two full passes now with no errors, so I'm starting to believe this is more of an issue with Windows. I cloned this drive from a SATA SSD to an NVMe one not long ago, maybe that's caught up with me? I guess it could be a driver issue as well, but I started getting BSODs the day I put this new ram kit in so it's the most suspect.
