Is that thing important?

Well i broke a thing while cleaning the xbox one s. I have a solder iron wich is realy old and big and i dont want to use it if the thing isnt worth it. its something right from the other side of processor. Would be nice if anyone got the knowledge.

Its a capacitor, there is a good chance that it will work fine. I would try to power it on first.

RIP.... though sometimes a SMD can be lost and things will still "work" but I wouldn't bank on it.

 

A person with some solder skill however should be able to redo that for ya.

It's a decoupling capacitor.  It smooths out the power going to the CPU, there's so many tiny capacitors for two reasons ... a lot of them are in parallel to get more overall capacitance, and a few of them are they're different capacitance values with different technical specifications, and they have different filtering qualities - a 1uF capacitor will be better at filtering a specific range, while a 0.47uF's filtering range may more suited for another range. \

 

Chances are your console will work without out, but you may experience random crashes or resets. If you do have a soldering iron, make an effort to solder it back.
