The First Video Game A DEEP DEEP DIVE into video game history

This video is a look at video gaming that is quite different.  It is from 2019 and I did search a bit to see if it has been shared here before.  It goes really REALLY deep into the very definition of what a video game is anyway.  I don't want to spoil what it says too much. If you really enjoy gaming and want to know more watch this.  The funniest part is the production and the music used make this question sound as serious as Global Thermonuclear war, and the research that had to be done feels like a trip through Falken's Maze*.
 

*Real old School paleolithic gamers will get the reference.

oh hey thats actually a cool video...

 

also everyone knows PONG was the first video game!!!  (weird how these myths are created... i never thought of it much, but i also thought there must have been "something" before it...)

i always liked that movie as a kid but it was too long, especially for re-watching ... im like dude, ok, lets go and kill hal already would you! : D

 

there was a similar movie i liked that one better, i think,  but idk the name of it, maybe it was a sequel (of sorts)

The Falkens Maze reference is to this montage.  Very 80's.  Basically a music video all about doing what we do now with a Google Search.  (Really actually though ... I teach students to research and they will claim it is IMPOSSIBLE to find things with google!

That was one of my favorite movies from my childhood.
