How can you fit a standard port if you make it extra thick lol.

At least for analog sound where actual metal conducts the electricity one could imagine the farrest fetched remotest possibility of it doing something, but how on Earth would a gold plated housing matter to a laser that doesn't even interact with it?

Now I'm curious how much of the world's gold we're wasting on this type of stuff.
