Need Help With Laptop Ram Upgrade

I have HP Pavilion Gaming - 15-ec0001ca (https://support.hp.com/ca-en/document/c06463297). I want to upgrade my ram to 16 Gb but I am unable to select which ram module to get. I tried to check ram speed on task manager and cpu z, both show different frequency of ram (I think this is due to a integrated GPU which is sharing my ram). Also I can see different  cas latency values as well (see attached picture).

So I have two main questions.

1) What type of ram do I need to get. ( I am filtering my search using Newegg power search and need your help to select following filters)

-Speed (I think it will be DDR4-2666)

-Type (I think it will be 260-Pin DDR4 SO-DIMM)

-Cas Latency (not sure)

-Voltage ( I think it will be 1.2)

-ECC (Not sure)

2) Can I buy 1 8 Gb module or do I need 2 modules to prevent any compatibility issues.

PS: I am new to the forums and this is my first post here (came here because Linus told in his video I can get help here) plz be kind if I made any mistakes or broke any rules)

Yeah honestly I'm seeing two different speeds, CPU-z looks like its reporting 1866MHz and tack manager seems to be reporting 2400MHz.

According to google, your CPU in that laptop supports up to 2400MHz and I assume its non XMP so you would need a JEDEC 2400MHz kit.

For 16GB get this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01BU77LQW/ref=emc_b_5_t

For 32GB: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01BU77M4I/ref=emc_b_5_t

Neither are JEDEC 2400MHz though as far as I'm aware.

Can't guarantee that those will run at 2400MHz, but this would since this is JEDEC: https://www.newegg.com/p/0FC-00KP-00001

Quote me or @TwilightRavens if you want me to see your reply. I may go inactive for a long time from time to time because I forget how to socialize, but I will be back... eventually.

Your laptop's system memory is not shared with the GPU your GPU has 3, 4 or 6 GB of discrete graphics memory. So it will not affect your system memory.

This is the stick of memory you require.....
