Probably everywhere they normally sell GPU's.

Since the 6500 XT has 4gb miners probably aren't interested in it, so it could stay closer to MSRP.

Also if you stream/record, the 6500 XT lacks hardware encoding. This should be no problem if you have an Intel CPU with iGPU. If you don't you'll have to use CPU encoding which is worse. Not only that but it doesn't support AV1 which a lot of platforms would probably start using by 2022-23-24. This means you won't be able to play back content on these sites.

Yeah, also, is it better to buy a new rx 6500 xt for that price, or a bit higher it depends, or to buy a rx 580 4gb for $270?

I built a solid pc (16gb ddr4 3200mhz, ryzen 5 1500x and im planning to upgrade it to 3900x but in the late future, gigabyte ab350m gaming 3, m.2 ssd etc) but i have a crappy gpu (hd 7770 1gb) so whats ur idea, i want to run most of the games at like 720p or 1080p just 60fps on medium, and im waiting for pubg to come out free, and sons of the forest to come out. I live in a country where normal salary is like $2 per hour... So yeah 🙂 any suggestion is helpful

RX 6500 XT should be slightly faster and have longer support, but that's it. I'd wait for real benchmarks comparing them to see which you should buy. Honestly for your use any modern GPU should be fine, maybe a 5600G will even be fast enough which will give you a better GPU and CPU at once.

I dont want fast enough, i want it to be in the middle or above middle, u know what i mean, so yeah i will probably get rx 6500 xt, thank you, also i think ryzen 5000 cpus are not compatible with my board?

Yeah that's right, you should get a 3900X + 6500 XT then.

Yeah but you can fully expect scalpers to grab all of these at launch. Scalpers don't sell to miners. If they find there is not a lot of demand then they will probably be easier to find after a while.

IF AMD, thru its AIBs, can pump out good quantity of the RX 6500 XT, availability should be okay'ish. Since it has 4GB VRAM (good enough for most games at 1080P) miners are probably gonna give it a pass, meaning there'd be more for gamers......hopefully.

Here r9 3900x is like 500 bucks, also is it bad if rx 6500 xt lacks hardware encoding? Cuz i wanned to record a few not demanding games (dont starve together, stardew valley, mc)

also i got a ab350m gaming 3 mobo from gigabyte, its pcie 3.0 and rx 6500 xt is pcie 4.0 , will that make the gpu slower or what? if its a tiny bit its ok.

You could still record using the CPU, but it will be worse than GPU encoding. You'll need a higher bitrate for the same quality and the performance will get a bigger impact. Still not a very big performance impact and it should still perform good.

Maybe like 1 or 2 FPS, but it's nothing too big

Actually it may be a big difference. 6500 XT looks to be using PCIE x4. That should be fine, but when using PCIE 3 it could make a big difference. See Gamers Nexus newest video for what I mean.

True but loads of the popular mining cards that went to the big mining companies went straight to them and were never available for scalpers to buy.

Yes, it's also expected to be much better. However it will probably also be more expensive.

So i need ur opinion, should i buy an rx 580 4gb for like 230€ or wait for rx 6500 xt? Big upside for rx 580 is that its pcie 3.0 x16, and 6500 xt is as u know 4.0 x4

I'd wait for the 6500 XT and see how it performs and if it will be decently priced.

If it shows crappy results, is it better to buy rx 580 4gb for 200e, or gtx 1060 6gb for 250e?

In this case I'd recommend the RX 580. Should run slightly faster than 1060 with recent drivers. The Nvidia specific features aren't available for 10 series cards anyway.
