Intel Core i5-11400F or the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X?

Hey, so I'm making a parts list, with a Ryzen 5 5600X selected as CPU, but I found out that the Intel i5-11400F has almost the same FPS in games, and it's 120 euro less. Is it a smart move to switch between these CPUs? Or maybe another CPU? Because I can spend the 120 euro on some other parts/saving, but I don't know alot about Intel CPU's or CPU in general 😅. Of course, is another motherboard required.

The two have roughly equivalent performance for gaming, so if that's all you care about feel free to save the cash. The 5600X will have better productivity performance, so if you need to get work done as well, that may be important. However, I'm not sure if that would actually be worth 120€ more.

for 120 euros cheaper i would go for the 11400f. or even 11700f

Motherboard tier list. Tier A for overclocking 5950x. Tier B for overclocking 5900x, Tier C for overclocking 5800X. Tier D for overclocking 5600X. Tier F for 4/6 core Cpus at stock. Tier E avoid.

The 11400f with a B560 board is a solid choice. With the 11400f you could get better RAM and SSD and still come in under your €1600 budget.

Id personally first check the prices of motherboards for each to see if you would save anything. But if motherboard prices are good go with intel. Amd is better for productivity and gets 10 plus more fps and is best for productivity but if your looking to save cash and use it more in the graphics card or something else save your money and get the intel i5 11400f.
