Sure.

 

But SLI is pointless now.

Most games these days no longer take advantage of SLI, and indeed can cause issues. Best to stick with one card.

Yep! If the PCBs are different widths you may need a flexible SLI bridge though. Aaand SLI bridges in general are kinda hard to find for a reasonable price, I've usually had to pay $60 for a proper one. Like others pointed out, SLI also has very little support now, but for benching fun/older titles it still works, and can be nice to mess with. I have a pair of 780s for this purpose.

I only car about GTA, and they are supported, I picked up 2 970's for 540 bucks, I also have 2 EVGA GTX 460 SE's that I ran in SLI and GTA IV ran way better, but I did notice on EVGA's website where I have them registered and it shows one is a 460 SE and the other shows 460 SE SUPERCLOCKED, Even with my GTX 970 FTW GTA is kinda laggy im only running a I7 3770K

I only care about games that work in SLI, which I have, GTA's are supported, I just cant see spending over a grand on a card I cant even get, so this is my next best option till my next upgrade, Thanks for the input!!
