So I have an ASUS Motherboard, I was being stupid and didn't know anything about the part of the motherboard I was messing with and took the CMOS Jumper pin out then plugged in my PC and tried to start it, when it didn't start I spent around 2 hours trying to figure out what happened then I looked at the manual for the motherboard and saw where it said something along the lines of attempting to start without the Jumper Pins will cause system boot failure, now I'm afraid that I killed my motherboard, I don't know what to do can someone please give me advice.

it'll just mess with the ability to read cmos if the header isnt there, when you put the jumper back it should work normally.

I put everything back into place like normal and tried starting the pc and it wouldn't even post, I decided the best thing to do was unplug the pc and take the CMOS battery out then let it sit for a while

Don't panic OP. Just put the jumper back as you found it & revive that rig!
