Just so i understand this right, static ip on an orbi router how?

MultiGamerClub

I havent done this since high school when i went on IT, i know im probably asking a stupid question but this seems like the best spot to ask. The title almost says it all, but im not sure if DNS should be set either or it shouldnt matter?

Anyway, im setting up 1 or 2 servers at home and in the first phase its just going to be a minecraft/streaming pc near the tv. Ports is no issue on the ISP's website, however im not sure how i properly set up static IP in the ORBI gui/setup.

I'm probably on the right page but i have to be damn 100% to apply the settings haha.

I've reserved the IP-adress for the server on the Orbi-network GUI but im not sure what more needs to be done?

Im just asking here for re-assurance so i dont easely fuck up our entire network with 4 orbi routers x'D

If you reserved an IP for that devices MAC, just hit apply and your good. Don’t need to mess with DNS unless you want to use a different DNS then your ISP’s default (1.1.1.1 is what most people currently recommend).
