I've decided to challenge myself for a month. To do this I need a KVM that i can plug my Samsung phone into, but i'm having a hell of a time finding KVMs that have USB-C inputs on them.

Anyone know any they can recommend? I don't want to spend hundreds of bucks on a KVM. I can live with two keyboards and mice on my desk if i need to.

Do you need a KVM? KVMs are for switching between multiple computers, but if you're trying to only use your phone, you should be able to get by with just a normal USB-C dock, just be aware that Samsung DEX only does 16:9 up to 1920x1080 on most connections, so if you have any other aspect ratio or a higher resolution than that you'll need to do more research. If it does need to be a KVM you will be spending hundreds, because that's what a USB-C KVM costs. The only USB-C KVM I'm aware of is sold by LevelOneTechs, and is usually out of stock, so you'll have to contend with that too.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Thanks for the name i will look it up.

Thanks i am aware of what a KVM is 🙂. I actually have my current desktop running on my desk right now, and it will stay running even if i switch to Dex permanently. I need a device that can switch between the phone and desktop, and though the desktop can use USB A/B and 3.0, the phone only has type-c.

As for the resolution again thanks i am aware 🙂 and right now it's more than i need for this experiment using a 55" Sony TV. I'm currently using just a small usb-c multiple functions device. But i'd like to clean up my desk as far as multiple keyboards go. Though really i could probably setup rdp inside my network... something to think about.
