I just installed PopOS and i opened the PopShop and downloaded a gmail client.

Then i was looking at another interesting application when my screen went....well you can see in the picture.

it was stuck there with more gltchiness until i had enough and held down the power button to force shut down.

I pressed the power to turn it on and now it wont even post and when i hold the power button to Force shut down it turns itself back on somehow????

Its my first time on Linux so help is much appreciated.

That sounds like a hardware issue, not a software one.

How old is this system?

Eliminate the smaller things first- try a different video cable, swap ram slots, etc

Nope. When I turn it on there's nothing being displayed. Just blank

Try remove the ram, clean the RAM contact with rubber eraser or a plain paper. Make sure the RAM slot is dust free before you plug it back in.

BTW I should mention its 2GB of DDR2, would that be an issue?

Shouldn't be an issue if the RAM itself is not faulty.
