Advice on new CPU

stormeus

Hi there,

I have a choice between an i7-10700F, a Ryzen 5 5600x and a Ryzen 7 3700x, all of them would be paired with an RTX 3070. Which one would perform better on games?

I would say the Ryzen 5 5600x as it already outperformed the Ryzen 7

3700x.

If you already have a motherboard compatible with the Ryzen 5 5600X, or getting one with BIOS flashback is cheap (like the MSI B450 gaming plus MAX,) that is recommended.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

I agree that the 5600x is probably the winner but am curious what other parts you need to upgrade to go this route or do you have RAM/MB on hand already?
