I use Windows 7 so I don't have much experience with Windows 8 but will upgrade soon.

Anyway, my mum keeps complaining about Word 2013 pro crashing when she saves a document it closes and fails to auto recover. Also she told me when she searched some thing in Google on Internet Explorer using Google toolbar it came up with a blank white screen and I couldn't go back to the previous page.

I did update it to Windows 8.1 and today I updated it to Windows 8.1 update 1, she blames it on me updating the system even though the updates includes bug fixes...Is Microsoft going to release more bug fixes for the Office package and IE? I have checked for viruses by running a full MalwareBytes scan and running Windows Defender in the background.

Reset your Windows 8.1 to Default settings,

Yes there is Option!!

Go to Setting from Charm Bar(Win+C) then Change PC Settings--->Update and Recovery--->Recovery--->Restart Now

Then you should see advanced options then figure out the Reset to Factory default..

Note:- It will delete all your Personal data on your System drive (C Drive) and also Applications..

Then install the softwares as from the Start!!..
