QUESTION URGENT

desiigner93

idk if this is the right place for this but i have iphone 11 and my uncle ran it over with a forklift at our job ..... only the right side of the screen is completley shatttered and the 1/3 of the display is black... Screen is unresponsive but it works like when i call my number it rings and the on of button works

long story short  i gave it to some guy at some service and he told me he is unsure if the logic board is damaged(he thinks little pieces of glass damaged it) and if he puts new display on will it still work but he has hopes for it bc its not bent nowhere

IS HE RIGHT or IS HE CAPPIN'???

i mean.. without knowing his side of the story, if i saw a phone that was ran over by heavy machinery, i'd be worried about something having chipped the logic board too... and as a business you always have to lean on the side of caution instead of guaranteeing something to your customer with the chance there's more collateral than expected.

Even tho you went in to detail, its hard to say without actually seeing it. Need more info.

Also No need to type urgent in title, we do not care. (unless you pay us).

But most important, you say 'some service' well thats where you went wrong.

You bring it to someone that is trustworthy!!!

You take the time to figure that out or you buy a new 900$ phone. 😉

Most likely a screen replacement would be enough, but its still Apple. They wont make that easy!

When i ask for more specs, don't expect me to know the answer!
I'm just helping YOU to help YOURSELF!
(The more info you give the easier it is for others to help you out!)

Not willing to capitulate to the ignorance of the masses!

i'd be more worried about the battery being crushed and that any slight pressure in the wrong spot could cause a catastrophic short

If it's in the condition you describe it seems a screen change could be all that's needed, but just like he says there's no way to be sure before attempting to do so. Could find that the display connector on the logic board is dead or whatever...
