My naive father

So everyone in my family has upgarded phones this year

 

me: Nokia N95(8gb edition) --> samsung galaxy s2

brother: Broken galaxy s3--> working galaxy s3

mother: Apple iphone 4--> HTC one m8(yes im extremely jealous)

 

Then there is my father, he has an iphone 4 still, its starting to show issues, the ringtone doesnt working and the vibration is weird so he can barely knows when he is getting called or texted.

 

So he wanted to get an phone 5s, i recommended an andriod phone but he didnt want one, so im fine with that, its his decision.

 

So yesterday i get a call and he is all happy, sad he got the 5s for £450. I was like yay for you. he gets home, its the fakest piece of dog**** i have ever seen. This was the first time where i asked my father what the fuck was wrong with him, he slapped me but still. 

 

A few minutes later when he calmed down(due to me saying a "naughty" word, take in mind im 17) i asked him where he got it, he said some guy on the street said he was selling it.

Fake chrome is all very falling off and bare metal is there, it doesnt look that bad but its sharp.

 

In the above picture it might be hard to see but the  + and -  cant be pressed and are too small, the + is rotated, the longer button sags.

 

 

Apps cant be clicked, the screens looks as bad as you see, the viewing angle is about 1 degree, probably 2 on a good day. The circle at the bottem is glued. Doesnt have wireless either.

 

 

 

My paint skills suck ass, anyways the s2 camera sucks so you cant see but its scratched very badly, in a way its good at gripped your hand. Its even hard to see but the white plastic isnt flush, it is embossed a little also there is no camera, its just a black area.

Yeah buying a used one on the street is shady... But the 5s is a solid phone.

I have an HTC One, I love android. I still can't deny that its a solid phone. I prefer it over most android phones simply due to build quality. Except for the one and m8.

It looks like the 5s, lags like crazy and i think its resolution is 360p not sure but its very bad.

I have an HTC One, I love android. I still can't deny that its a solid phone. I prefer it over most android phones simply due to build quality. Except for the one and m8.

 

Im not trying to force them, im encouraging them to switch, more of a recommendation they can get whatever they want and im fine with that but for fucks sake ask me first before you buy from a  shady man in the street, seriously how did he not have enough common sense, you just had to look at the damn thing to see that its fake.

We could all notice fakes because he we see phones more or less on a daily basis whether or not that's in person or online, he might not be this into tech so I think you should cut him some slack

It's never OK to unsult your father like that , even if he does the most stupid things. But this is a really huge fail , even if the Phone was real you probably would have police at your front door within a week asking where the stolen phone is. Never buy  a phone of the street like that.

i completely lost my shit when he told me that, im normally a calm person(unless im playing a game). This is without a doubt the stupidest thing he has ever done, what makes it even bloody worse is that he has made this mistake before, this isnt his first time. He got a fake ipod for my brother a long time ago, it turned on and then that was it. If it was his first time i wouldnt have been as mad but its his second time, i thought it was a mistake you can only do once and then you learn your lesson.
