Asus ROG X570-E File transfer Issue

Guest

Hi All,

I have been having a issue that I think is due to my motherboard. When sending data locally or over the internet my desktop seams to be limited to around 8mbps.  I have tested the connection with over devices and I can transfer at full speed. my local server can support 80MB/s with the drives. I have tried BIOS updates and Firmware updates recommended by ASUS and windows automatic update. Both ports on the motherboard yield the same speed.

Is there anything else I can try, check or do before buying a second motherboard.

Have you tried a network card instead of the one built in?

I think so, I also tried a GB Ethernet to USB adapter with the same issue. Hard drive to hard drive transfers on the PC don't seam to be affected by this issue as well.

Not related to the issue at hand. Enable XMP for your ram.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

I'm a bit confused, are u having trouble downloading/uploading files from the internet or trouble transferring files between your hard drives?
if the first one, maybe it's not from your motherboard and u mistakely set a limit for your device? maybe resetting your router/modem (if u can set the settings or ask help from the company provides you the internet) will fix your issue! or u have a background app that limits your internet speed somehow? or even your windows settings! maybe try to connect to your router via wifi and see if you still have the problem, then try connecting to your phones internet(if your phone internet has higher speed than 8MB/s) and see if you still are limited or not! or even if u have access to another router try connecting to that ! at least this way u narrow down the probabilities!

Just Do It..
