Not really. 

A lot of modern cpus may spike with more than the 235w a 8 pin can supply

Its not xoc, its just high end cpus

 

op unless you have a like ryzen 9 with that board its fine

CXM is not worth to buy. https://pcpartpicker.com/product/FdRFf7/corsair-cx-2017-550w-80-bronze-certified-atx-power-supply-cp-9020121-na and https://pcpartpicker.com/product/2HbwrH/corsair-rmx-2018-650w-80-gold-certified-fully-modular-atx-power-supply-cp-9020178-na are lot better.
