I've been using the takstar HI 2050 as my portable daily driver for around 3 months now, and it performs very well for around $43. It looks good too, if you're bothered by that kind of thing. It reacts well to being amped, but can be used on most modern onboard audio solutions without any problems.

probably the se-a1000 from pioneer, Logan from Tek Syndicate did a video recently about some superlux headphones which he called the best under $50 so that's maybe something to check out.
