R310 and 18tb exos

I got a used r310 to start setting up a homelab/plex server last year. While looking at putting more storage into it I got a exos 18tb sas drive by mistake instead of a sata drive. Currently I'm trying to find a solution that will allow me to use my expensive mistake in some forum or fashion.

Currently the installed raid card supports up to 3tb drives which I will fill quickly. If the hive mind could help I'd really appreciate being able to tell the wife I fixed the mistake.

Dell PERC6/i PCI Express SAS Raid Controller Card PowerEdge CN-0T774H

This is what it came with. Sadly due to work I wasn't able to identify a problem before the return window was over due to work.

Yea that card has a 2TiB drive size limit. If you want a raid card get a h710, if you want a hba get a h200/h310. You also need to get different cables.

So I got a h200 but I cant seem to get it to see the larger drive only the 2tb drives that I had before. Is there something special I need to do before it will show up? I dont have the money for a second drive at the moment if it requires that I have 2 drives. Is there a way to make it so that I can just see/use the larger drive if I raid the two smaller drives together and the larger is a differant drive? Also realized that I said I had a r310 in reality it is a r410 not sure if that makes a difference.

Are you using proper SAS cables? Does the drive even spin up?

Does the 2tb drive work when you swap places with the 18tb drive?

Could be the drive doesn't like the enclosure, Ive seen some drives be picky like this before. The 18tb drive should work and show up as a 2tb drive on the old raid controller too.

So got the drive to be seen by the uefi bios however it says 0.00 gigs for it and won't allow me to do anything with the drive. Any suggestions on possible problems or solutions?
