Budget (including currency): 1000-1500 USD

Country: US

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Autodesk Inventor, Eclipse, KSP, Subnautica, Raft

Other details: I currently have a Dell Latitude E6440 laptop with integrated graphics and desperately need something new. Most IDE's take 2+ minutes to open then randomly crash and with more than a dozen parts in Inventor the framerate drop unbearably when orbiting. I have a parts list from PCPP https://pcpartpicker.com/list/dVP2t8 but could really use some help.

1050 Ti for that price is awful. Try getting a used 1660, 1070, 5500 XT or RX 580.

I'd get a 5600X instead since you have a dGPU. Or possibly even 12th gen Intel if you can find it for a decent price.

55 for a 250gb is bad, the 970 is pretty overrated imo. I'd get a 500gb SN750 or A2000, should be about the same price and also fast.

The PSU is also overpriced. Try getting a RM or MSI AGF.

The components are fine but a lot of them are overpriced.

I hear Subnautica can be pretty CPU intensive so I when up to the 5700G.

1050TI is not really a got GPU for today. I would go for a 1660 super

Went with 1TB nvme drive with dram. Mainly cause games get pretty big now and also 1TB version are faster than smaller capacity counterparts.

Upgraded to nice PSU, a little overkill though

Oh and you can buy a key at somewhere like vip-urcdkeys for a lot less than the retail one. That will save you about 90 bucks.

Would recommend this but with a 6600 XT instead. It's cheaper and faster. It has worse RT and stream encoder, but that's pretty much it.
