ASUS TUF Gaming 25" 1080P Monitor (VG259Q)

Needing a 10 series would suck. LP GTX 1050s cost well over 200 dollars for some reason right now. It's total BS.

Yea, thats a Gsync Compatible monitor, so not native Gsync. Will require a 10 series or newer card to be able to use Gsync on it.

I'm using an older low profile card that came from a prebuilt PC. It's GTX 745. On nVIDIA's website it claims to support Gsync.

Yet the options to turn it on don't exist when I plug this card in via HDMI (the only other connectors are DVI, VGA). I borrowed a brother's GTX 1070 and it did let me turn on Gsync with that card though.

So what's the problem? If I can't use Gsync with this Low profile card is there a low profile card that will support this feature? The only theory I have is that the HDMI version of the card is too old and that displayport and getting a DP card would fix the issue. I just hope I can find a Low-profile card that's not super expensive. It doesn't have to be super powerful as long as it's as good as this GTX 745 and plays my Minecraft and a city builder I play called Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic.

What Monitor? Is it an actual Gsync monitor, or just Gsync compatible? Of its Gsync compatible over freesync, then that does indeed only work on 1000 series or newer cards.

Yup you need 10 series or newer to turn on Gsync. Your card supports the old Gsync (one with NVidia specific module), not the one that AMD supports for ages.
