What is the downside of activating windows using this method?

I understand that it is good for 8 months?

What happens after 8 months? Can I use the same method to activate it again?

Also, is it possible to delete the fake product key, reset the skms to authentic one, and activate windows normally before the 8 month?

If you are part of an organization that has an on premises legitimate key server please contact your it team.

If you are asking about using skms to activate it outside of that context that is breaking Microsoft licensing terms and is piracy.

The slmgr script is for volume activation. Unless you have a valid volume license key and a volume license server on your network, this isn't something you can/should use.

Using these methods outside of Enterprice environment is considered piracy and as such, discussion will not be tolerated here.
