For practical purposes, this allows a maximum 16:10 screen resolution of 1920 × 1200 at 60 Hz.

To support higher-resolution display devices, the DVI specification contains a provision for dual link. Dual-link DVI doubles the number of TMDS pairs, effectively doubling the video bandwidth. As a result, higher resolutions up to 2560 × 1600 are supported at 60 Hz.

The german version of the Wikipedia page:

2560 × 1600 60 Hz or 1920 × 1080 144 Hz
24+1 pins or 23+1 pins for Dual-Link DVI

So you need DVI-D dual link:

DVI Connector Types

Your graphics card supports dual link:

Datasheet Quadro K600 (nvidia.com)

My monitor (MSI Optix G24c) goes black when set to 144hz on my Ubuntu system (Quadro k620 GPU over DVI) but works fine on Windows.

DVI connector doesn't have all of the pins so I believe it's single link, do I need a dual link cable or can this GPU just not push 144 over DVI?

Thanks!
