Mouse Sensor Laser

My 4 years old son was pointing the mouse sensor laser to my lcd notebook screen while dancing and watching cartoons on youtube. Do you think doing this can cause some damage to the lcd screen, because a friend told me i can get serious damage if i point this to my eyes for to long.

No, the power on the "laser" (probably just a focused red LED) is minimal.
