PCIE ADAPTER USB CABLE HEATING

Hi friends,

I have a problem

I I am using a RTX 3080 with a 850w gold.. 

I bought a PCIe adapter and tried to connect also my GTX 1060 using it.

But the problem is that when I connect every thing with pc turned off the pc turns on just because I connected the GPU with the mother board..

and the USB 3.0 cable heats like crazy.

I had to buy another adapter as the USB cable burned.

Now I tried again and as soon the cable started to heat i dsconnected it.

How do i fix that? thank you a lot.

Can you be a little more descriptive regarding what products (cables/adapters) you're trying to use here?

I am trying to use a RISER Card PCI-E 16X USB MINING / RENDERING 60cm VER.009s. in one of my graphics card slot.

I have now a RTX 3080 and I am trying to connect a gtx 1060 with the RISER CARD.    Z490 Taichi motherboard.

32gb ram 

850w gold power supply

 

the usb cable is crazly heating.. and the computer even if I shut it down.. it turn on alone..
