2gb 256bit old vs 4gb 128bit newer vram

guys whats the difference between an old card with 2gb vram gddr5 256bit and a newer card have similar spec that came just after the first one but with 4gb vram gddr5 128bit . the screen resolution is 900p. lets say the cpu is fast enough like i7 ivy bridge and the games used are AAA before 2020 .

A graphics card is not just a card with RAM on it. GPU is also equally important. What cards are you comparing?

The architecture is very old from 2012 2014 amd gcn 1 & 2 the speed is between gt1030 and rx550 and they are not desktop grad.

EDIT : i just want to know if extra vram worth it?

Then it stil has a name right? GPU makes all the difference, 2GB wont be an issue if it's just RX550/GT 1030 level of slow. As for bus width, they are not something you can independently judge.

Mention what those cards are and look for benchmarks of them, nothing else really matters.
