At 1440p everything on Ultra and I never want to drop below 69fps which card would i need?

Gpus have been a sore spot for so long but I am officially doing the research because my $480 msi 1650 is.... leaving me wanting its been a good little gpu for the last 7 months but i want to see rtx ultra.

If you're good with keeping DLSS turned on, an RTX 3070 would do.

I use the RTX 2070 for 1440p gaming and it's fine for most games.

But some games might get below 60 FPS.
So a RTX 2080 super should be good. Or the newer RTX 3070, as Jurrunio said.

It really depends on what you can get (used or new), because prices can be insane.

My RTX 3080 can do that.

 

I test at ultra and one of the hardest games I test is Assassin's Creed Odyssey. The most modern game I test is Horizon Zero Dawn. 

Here are the results at 1440p ultra.

With a stock 3080 and a stock i9 9900k.

 

Older easier games like Shadow of the Tomb Raider do a lot better.

3070 can do max settings 100fps in most games i tested... of course there's always exceptions, and sometimes its clearly bad optimization,  mostly "indie" games but also stuff like Square Enix Nier Automata or FF online... what is up with that game lol, its so terrible in a "hub" when there's lots of people... which really doesn't have to be like that...

 

Tldr: it depends,  3080/ti are your best bets .

any specific games? The answer could vary
