GPU fans at full speed

Go to solution Solved by Leo_DJ,

So I plugged the old fan in the gpu and it worked fine. I took a closer look at the Cable connection inside the fans and at the connector.

I found out that two colours are switched, so I gently took them out and switched them to match the original fan cable layout.

I booted my system and everything now works quiet and smooth.

Hi,

I recently bought from my friend an old MSI R9 270x 2GB.
It worked just fine, only downside was it had two fins broken on one fan. I bought new fans online with the same model number.

I changed them and now my gpu fans run at full speed all the time.
I tried to reinstall the driver but it didn't help.

I can not control the fan speed niether from amd software or msi afterburner.

Has anyone any experience?

Thank you.
