Beyerdynamics or Audio-Technica?

Hey!

That's my firts post here and I was wondering what is better between the beyerdynamics bt 770 pro and the audio technica m50x or maybe any other headphone for around same price and why?

I currently have a cloud silver and I want to change it because I have some issues with it.

I want a good and clear sound headphone for gaming but not only.

Thanks!

*Insane* that they're so popular.

Between the 2 the 770 is better. The 770 all models provide good wide soundstage and pretty precise imaging which is good for gaming. But 80 and 32 ohm models sound pretty bad I would only consider the 250 ohm. If you want something with a good balance of decent gaming performance , and general media consumption I think the akg k371 is a better closed back.

Speaking purely on build quality, the Beyers. I own the M40X and the Tygr 300r and the M40X build quality is trash. Plasticky (and not Sennheiser-plasticky), horrible hinges (that broke on me), and pleather that sprinkles black dandruff all over you after a couple months in. The Tygr 300r on the other hand is a tried and true Beyerdynamic design that's built like a tank with tons of easily replaceable parts.
