Monitor possibly dead - Need advice

I have a QNIX QX2710 LED Evolution II 27" monitor which is reaching about 6 years since I bought it. I believe it's officially dead but would like a second opinion.

 

The power brick/adapter for the monitor has a blue solid light when I plug it into the wall. This indicates to me the power supply works. When I plug the power adapter to the monitor, the power adapter light blinks blue oppose to just being solid blue.

 

When I click the power on button on the monitor, nothing happens. The power LED on the monitor does not light up (when it would usually be red/blue). 

 

I feel like the monitor is dead. I'm also thinking buying a new power adapter here is a waste right? Since it does light up blue when plugged into the wall and flashing blue when plugged into the monitor. 

 

Just wanted a second opinion before dropping a few hundred into a new monitor. Thanks 🙂
