So for some reason I can't secure the cpu cooler.

 

I got a AMD wraith cooler for the unify x570 motherboard.

Have i got the wrong cooler. Am i doing something wrong.

Do you have the backplate for the cooler on the front of the board?

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

Yeah just put it in place but the screws aren't big enough to screw in

I think you misunderstood me.

 

The backplate goes on the back of the board.

 

In your photo it looks almost like you've put it on the front, with the cooler on top of it. 

 

What is the part circled in red below?
