Any DisplayPort 1.4 cable should work just fine and do their job. Just read the customer reviews as always and you'll be good to go. I've purchased a combo pack of cables from Micro Center once for HDMI and worked great!!

Just buy one of the well reviewed ones off amazon. DP 1.4 cables are not hard or expensive to make so sellers have less reason to sell "fake" cables.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

2m is--as I understand it--on the top end of lengths DP cables can support.  That's one advantage of HDMI; it can support longer runs.  Don't know if that's a factor in what products you are finding, but it could factor in.

There are certified DP cables commonly available up to at least 5 metres, maybe more. There is no 2 metre limit.
