current psu - Cooler MASTER masterwatt lite 500w

my hdd died recently and people blame it on my psu saying its trash.

 

 

 

which tier psu and watts should i go with for my current setup, pls suggest the cheapest one

Your PSU isn't great but it probably didn't kill your HDD. Sometimes HDDs just fail on their own. What issues are you having with the HDD?

Honestly the most rock bottom ill go is Corsair CX lineup, below that is shaky road but its hard to know without knowing where you live.

getting detected and not detected sometimes (nothing wrong with cables and mobo), took it to the nearest pc shop they say the pcb is fried and even if it gets detected its running under risk and they said it happend probably bcoz i didnt use an ups. so i dont know whats the reason for that. hdd only 2.5 yrs

what could be the reason for my hdd fail in such short term?
