Is there a software that I can set up on my PC that will allow me to schedule my storage drives to back up to other drives within the same PC?  I have four 4tb HDD’s for storage and I want to use 2 of them as redundant backups in case of failure.

There are a plethora of software options out there that will do what you want, such as AomiBackuppper, Acronis TrueImage (now part of their CyberProtect product), or a plain old Windows robocopy script you could set to run on a regular schedule using the Windows Task Scheduler.

PLEASE NOTE: regardless of the option you choose to utilize, know that copying data to INTERNAL DRIVES connected to the SAME PC does NOT constitute a real backup, as these drives could still become compromised by malware. Additionally, RAID is also NOT a backup.

Proper backups follow the 3-2-1 Backup method (or equivalent / better), meaning you'd have 3 copies of data stored on at least 2 different mediums (HDD, SSD, DVD, BluRay, Flash Drive, Cloud, Tape, etc.), 1 of which is stored offsite, preferably on another continent or at least in another time zone.

Backing up to the same PC is a short term solution until I can build my NAS. I gotta finish my current build before I can buy more parts. The wife is already mad enough lol.

I own Acronis, I never looked at the other features other than cloning Boot drives. I’ll start there. Thanks!
