Hello all,

I PC game and use my Xbox one to play games with my dad who is 65. We always play battlefield games cuz they're easy for him to understand. The only problem is the new BF 2042 coming out.

My dad clearly states that he refuses to buy a new Xbox cuz he doesn't want to feed the Microsoft machine anymore, but he doesn't want to lose the gaming nights we have every week. I want to play the new BF and I don't mind buying an Xbox for him. The only caveat here is should I buy him an Xbox series S (I think the X is overkill for him) or should I buy a medium rated PC. If the PC what should I look for? The only problem with the PC is I don't know if it will be overwhelming for him to get the games. It doesn't bother me, I have patience and I can't be there to load them for him (he's 1500 miles away).

Yeah, console would be simpler for sure, especially if he's used to one already. And a decent PC setup with GPU right now will cost a lot more than it should.

I'd get him a Series S for sure. I've seen them locally inside walmart a few times. For the price it's not a bad deal and you can get dad an early gift
