External Hard Disk 'Data Error (cyclic redundancy check)' problem and no drive partition shows up

HDD 'Data Error (cyclic redundancy check)'

I went and grabbed my external hard disk today to get a file for a friend. So, when I plugged my Hard Disk using the USB cable, I didn't see the drive, I thought it might be a connection problem, so I disconnected and reconnected, to be noted, whenever I connected the drive, the PC would give a 'Disk Connect Sound'. So I thought that the drive must have any other problem, so I went to the DIsk Management Utility inside Windows, and then I found this.....

1. The Drive didn't have any drive letter [Image 1]

2. The Drive didn't have any type of unallocated space or allocated space marked in the drive section [Image 1]

3. Whenever I tried to Initialize Disk, with either MBR or GPT, it would say Data Error (cyclic redundancy check). [Image 2,3,4]

[I know it wasn't infected by a virus, and it wasn't any type of malware or ransomware]

So, is there anything I can do about this on my own? Please I need you guys help on this!

Details about My External Hard Disk:

Name: Transcend StoreJet 25D3 1TB

Specs: USB 3.0

Remove said disk form its confined cage and connect it directly to PC.
If gives same errors drive is busted. If not external enclosure is busted.

(And im guessing its the last one, as all those external cases are pretty bad in quality.)

When i ask for more specs, don't expect me to know the answer!

I was thinking the same thing, maybe the enclosure is the problem, by the way, thanks for the solution, will try and give feedback 🤍

No kidding. I really hate storage devices right now, this is me about +10 hours ago🤦‍♂️. After troubleshooting I can conclude that the missing drive has just left the chat not making a single noise about it

After having many troubel with my Netgear 4TB storage thingy, it stopped working properly.
Disconnecting itself, HDD failures all sorts of different things.

Took out the HDD put in PC and SMART data is perfect, drive works flawlesly.
And thats the umptheenth HDD-USB case that has failed me. While the drive itself was fine.

I'd take fubar cables any day. When a disk dies, it's just a massive cluster f&#" to deal with. Not that you want to spend money on umpteen cables either, cheaper than a drive and no data loss FTW
