Budget Build for a Friend

I am currently working on a putting together a relatively low budget gaming rig for a friend, and the only part which I am unsure about is the CPU. The budget is $600. I was planning on putting the AMD Athlon 760K in there, but is there a better CPU for a rig at this price point?

Amd fx 6300 is a better solution

FX-6300 or FX-8320 if you can find a good deal on it, I've seen some for around $100
