  1. I recently reinstalled my windows I want to change the rgb on my z270e motherboard. It appears the aura software has been replaced by some kind of suite that installs 5 separate programs. After downloading aura creator I'm finding it difficult to use, I just want to set a colour and forget about it. not fussed about creating this and that, does anyone have the install file for the stand alone software?
  2. I just spent the last 2 hours troubleshooting a black screen with a moveable cursor. I had used my PC earlier that day with no issues. I tried all the different methods to get it to work that i could find, a lot of the fixes were assuming there was a problem with windows or the graphics driver. Anyway long story short, I couldnt even re install my windows by booting off a usb, because of this problem. Which gave me the impression may not have been a windows problem. After disassembling my PC, it turned out, the problem was due a faulty hardrive. This was such a weird solution, i think I g
  3. I have a few graphs that are linking to excel so google docs may not be possible, I'm going to try and reinstall office and then i'll restart my pc.
  4. I'm currently writing my Dissertation/ Thesis and every time I try to scroll between pages or move images on the page its lags out and nothing changes for a second or two before everything happens at once. This is incredibly frustrating as you can imagine. Has anyone else encountered this problem? If so, how was this fixed? More info: The actual word file is around 71mb and its located in my google drive folder (in case I need an older version) on my Samsung 850 Evo. My PC specs are on my page but in short I'm running unlocked haswell i5 (at stock speeds) cooled by a CM 2
  5. I'm in the midst of buying some components and the only thing i have left to buy is the motherboard, the four i found listed below are all under £50 and all fit my needs, fan headers, usb etc. MSI A88XM-E45 ASRock FM2A88M Extreme4+ Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-D3H Asus A88XM-PLUS My other components are: Coolermaster Silencio case AMD Athlon 860k CPU Coolermaster Hyper T4 Cooler Kingston Hyperx Fury Blue (2x4gb) Ram kingston 60GB ssd hitachi 2tb hdd corsair cs450m psu i'm leaning towards the msi because I've used the 970-g43 and the auto overclock wasn't too bad. If the
  6. Title sounds quite vague, but here's the original article: In summary a developer is trying to make a game that will be difficult to run because of lots of graphical elements, this is a breath of fresh air after what's going on with Ubisoft.
  7. you need to run the third display using an adapter from the display port, they fixed it in the r series cards.
  8. To sloth that's a fantastic build, but IMO the 270x isnt the best option for your budget. Sorry sloth I know this is your thread, but since SAV1OUR recommended this I wanted to ask him a questions. Is the 990FXA-UD3 a good motherboard for overclocking an FX-6300? I know the Asus motherboards are renowned for OC's but they dont fit my colour scheme.
  9. pcpartpcker does it to me all the time.
  10. Since your in the Ireland, Overclockers UK are pretty good with new hardware and a large range. You chose the Corsair Carbide 300R which is about £60-£70. A lot of the time people who have their heart set won't change the case, but Corsair have also just released the Carbide SPEC-03 for £45. It has the same internal layout, has a window and is cheaper but looks different. You had an i5 and an fx 8core system, both will perform very similar with the same GPU, so its up to your preference. going with a 4th generation Intel gives you a broader choice in colours, which for a windowed case
  11. its not actually £45, if it was would have bought it right now lol
