Laptop or SlapTop?

I'll TRY to keep it simple. I have a great desktop setup, so I don't "need" a laptop but I would still like one. The question is.

 

1. Should I even get a laptop right now, (I may be traveling but it's not too big of a deal)

2. If I do get one, WTF laptop do I even get!?!?!?

3. Used or New? (I'm a semi broke college student)

 

Laptop features

(The issue is I would also want more performance but the same features like, color accurate, 2k display, semi portable, good battery life, AMD CPU, and not super expensive price

2. RGB.....

3. Raw performance regardless of size but still low price?

4. Will last a long time, Good build quality, and will not slowly fall apart and have snapped plastic, Full metal body design.

 

I would greatly appreciate help choosing between eluktronics, Lenovo, Asus, etc.

Semi broke cuz I have an Job, but when I go back to school (on pause form Covid) I'll have lots of debt, but still saved up money for computer. So semi broke.
