Yes. Basically you need to change the "switch router" IP address to something like 192.168.1.2 (assuming your primary router address is 192.168.1.1) and disable DHCP.

And how to change the ip if i cant acces the "switch router"

Sounds like it would be easiest to just buy a stand-alone switch, no? Unmanaged ones are like $15.

  • Disable DHCP
  • Set static IP (keeping in mind the same IP ranges you use in the main router) for the device you want to use as a switch.
  • Connect the main router to your "switch" on its "lan" port (might not be necessary but incase your router doesnt have vlan function, it might be necessary)
  • Done.

Its old kinda

Then just follow what levent said. Go to your router configuration page.

Disable DHCP. Set Static IP.

The use an Ethernet cable to connect your old router to your present router.

Thats it. Theoretically it should work.

You connected all the cables to the LAN ports, right? Leave the WAN port empty.

any ideas?

Its an old device that appears to only support 10/100Mbit.  There's a small chance it might not have a switch but do it via the CPU which cause be causing issues.

ASUS B650E-F GAMING WIFI + R7 7800X3D + 2x Corsair Vengeance 32GB DDR5-6000 CL30-36-36-76  + ASUS RTX 4090 TUF Gaming OC

WiFi6: Zyxel NWA210AX (1.7Gbit peak at 160Mhz) WiFi5: Ubiquiti NanoHD OpenWRT (~500Mbit at 80Mhz)
ISPs: Zen Full Fibre 900 (~930Mbit down, 115Mbit up) + Three 5G (~1200Mbit down, 115Mbit up, variable)
