Intel I5 11600k have a tdp of 125w

Ryzen 5 5600x have tdp of 65w

If you overclock ryzen 5 until it reaches 125w will have more power then i5 at same tdp?

More precisely i wanna know if with the same Cooler (SilentiumPC Grandis 3) ryzen 5 5600x overclocked to the cooler limit will be faster then i5 11600k overclocked to cooler limit or the opposite?

Thanks!

Both chips offer similar performance when pushed to the limits, just like when stock. The Intel chip is less efficient, so harder to cool, but with sufficient cooling, you probably couldn't tell which CPU you were using in a blind taste test.

Thanks, but i want to know if in my case with 250w Cooler will be faster ryzen 5 5600x because i can overclock further than i5 11600k because is inneficient?

Cpu speed is not dictated by temperature or wattage

That can't be true, it becomes ineficient because if the watts are are 200  (just for example) if you don't have a good cooler (temperature) you should under clock to make it run, soo less speed

Conclusion Cpu speed is dictated by temperature

Honestly, both of them have pretty meh overclocking results. If you watched the recent WAN Show, you'll have heard that the Silicon Lottery website is shutting down. Part of the reason is that overclocking just isn't what it used to be, so it was getting hard to justify the business model. Who is going to pay extra for the binning process when the result is only a guaranteed 5% more performance? Chips are pushed close to the limits at stock speeds already, so unless you got insanely lucky, any overclock you do is going to be underwhelming.

I wouldn't get either for OC. I'd get the one that's the better value buy if you plan to keep the system, or just go AMD since the upgrade path goes up to a 16 core.

That would be a great analysis if cpus were invented a few weeks ago

doesnt work like that, but if you did oc both the 11600k or the 5600x to 200w the 5600x would be slightly faster in most cases.
