Would it be okay to add 3200mh RAM to my existing 3000mhz RAM?

Hey guys! So I currently have G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 3000mhz CL15-16-16-35 and was going to add 2 more sticks of the same kind but only found a pair on amazon with a slightly different timing of CL16-18-18-38. Then I found some that are 3200mhz with the exact same timings. Basically what I'm wondering is should i go with the pair that has a matching speed or the sticks with the matching timings?

 

CPU is an i7-10700K and GPU is a zotac 1070ti if that matters at all.

All DIMMs in the system have to run the same speed and timing so I would go for the 3200mhz ones with the same timings and just run them all at 3000mhz. It is not possible to have 2 run at 3000 and 2 at 3200

Yes, but you won't be able to run the 3200 mhz ram at 3200 mhz. It will be downclocked to 3000.

That was what i was thinking, I think I really just wanted confirmation. I knew that the 3200 would slow down to match the 3000 but I figured it would be better that way with the same timings than the same speeds with different timings. Thanks for the help!

all RAMs run in the same speed so if one runs in 3000 the other will run in 3000 even if it can run in 3200

unless it's possible to run the 3000 one for 3200 speed they will both have to run in 3000 in the end

if you dont care about 3200 running 3000 than it's fine, since they will be same timings they could work perfectly together

but don't quote me on that, you know how sometimes similar rams dont want to work
