My guess would be no, because there are some key differences you should take note of.
1. The notch on the iPhone 13 Pro Max is smaller than the one on the 12 Pro Max.
2. The placement of the earpiece speaker is different.
3. Some of the sensor/Face ID things are placed in a different place, and now with different restrictions for 3rd party repair specialists, Face ID will stop working if the screen is replaced by a 3rd party repair specialist. YouTuber Phone Repair Guru talked about this.
4. Most likely the internal connections will be in different places so it will not work.
Answer in a nutshell: No, it will not work.
