Thoughts on DeepCool A500 Plus?

While I'm shopping around for the best deal on RAM (Samsung B-die or bust), I'm trying to learn more on the air coolers I can choose from. Lots of stuff still on the board there, as there are a lot of nice, sexy blocks of aluminium to be had.

 

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the DeepCool A500 Plus? Looks nice for the lower end of the price range I'm looking at.

For 2 bucks more I would get this:

Its a sweet cooler. Some will complain of a noise from the little fan, run it for a few hours and it will go away, the motor for some reason needs to be run in. I ran mine at top speed for an hour or two.. now I use it as a case fan.

Its a good cooler, probably the best I have used so far, at least on Ryzen.

Deepcool AS500 is a decent cooler, buy yeah I'd say go for the Frost Commander 140 as well, just better overall.

 

And if you have memory compatibility issues, or just want less noise, feel free to remove the front fan, and only leave the middle one, it will only be 2-3 degrees C, higher temperature, and performance wise should still be above the Deepcool AS500. 

 

Plus the Thermalright is shorter so better future case compatibility xD

I have Le Grand Macho RT, True Spirit 140 Power, and Ultra 120 Extreme, FC140 easily beats them all on AM4 by a landslide. It’s better than LGMRT by a minimum of 5c on my hardware.
