My sad computer troubles

So I built a computer 3 weeks ago it has been running fine all this time until these mystical blackouts happened were it just shut itself down and the CPU warning light turned on on the motherboard (it's an msi b550 pro with a Ryzen 5 5600x) and there is no clear info I can find on the internet and it really doesnt make sense why it just died after 3 weeks of use

What are the rest of the PC specifications like besides the CPU and motherboard? Have you tried to clear CMOS??

It has a 3070 16G ram and a 500G Samsung 970 

And a WiFi card if that matters

Alright, how about the PSU (just want to make sure you're not using some junky $30 PSU with the rest of this build). 

 

Still though, have you tried to clear CMOS?? This will reset the BIOS to default settings and remove any overclocks done that may have been applied.

Oh sorry it's a be quiet 650w platinum 

And I checked with a second power supply I had so I don't believe it is the power supply that is at fault and I will go try the CMOS now

Also clearing the CMOS didn't seem to help the CPU issue light is still turned on I included a photo if it helps (it is off in the photo for camera reasons lol)

Ok, have you updated the BIOS on the motherboard after putting the PC together??? Sometimes, the BIOS that is flashed onto the motherboard (if it's old stock-AKA sitting in a warehouse for awhile before Ryzen 5000 series came out) does not work at all. If it has been, I'd try to reset the processor and if that does not work, try another processor and see if you can get the system to boot/POST. If the system boots, then I suspect the CPU died and needs to be sent back if this is still within the return window or you may have to RMA the CPU and send it back to AMD for a replacement.

Unfortunately I don't own another am4 CPU so I am going to just have to take it to a pc store so they can test it because I don't think there is anything I can do but thanks for the help you have been very helpful

It was supposedly a faulty motherboard so we have sent it back to the shop I bought it from so they can test it
