Its a crazy long shot, but does the weird Aliexpress waterblock fits into this?

Edit: ya nevermind, just re-watched the video and the whole assembly is different

Hey James, I accidentally found a bug in the video, I have no idea why it appeared, but here is the screenshot. The timing is 8:54.

  • 1 month later...
On 9/28/2021 at 11:17 AM, IPD said:

Does Eluktronics use Clevo chassis?

In this one specifically they are said to be using Quanta as an ODM.

Also of note is that the hardware apparently has a MUX switch, but the core software's like "nah"

If only I could afford either of them...

1990 M3s are the best looking things ever made.

^This statement has been retracted^
2020/2021 BMW S1000RRs/Ninja H2s are the best looking things ever made.

Don't ask to ask.
If you want me to see the reply, @XGoodGuyFitz(aka me) and/or quote me.
Thanks!

  • 4 weeks later...

Reporting in: This is a Quanta ODM!

  • I procured this after the video made me aware Eluktronics was even a thing
  • The MUX hardware is said to be in there, but deactivated at the firmware level and unstable, and not activated yet; there's a possibility it won't be flipped on ever.
  • The hardware itself is super potent at a baseline level, gods damn.
  • Literally everything works out of the box (with driver installs) on Windows
  • I'm a Linux nerd and I'm happy to report only two things are "not working" out of the box:
    • RGB LED controls are absent
      • Oh also I'm a programmer. I coded a kernel driver module for it and I'm working on OpenRGB integration now
    • Screen refresh rate is locked at 60hz on "Hybrid GPU" and "Discrete" modes

As for feedback:

  • With 64gb of RAM this bugger is SCREAMING
  • The screen quality is very nice
  • The webcam is abysmal
  • The speakers are, uh, "there" (not a compliment)
  • The WiFi works fine, Bluetooth too

All in all, nice.
