Best TV for me?

KKLawrence

Hello everybody,

I recently moved and need a new TV. I am open to suggestions, as I don't have that much time to research this myself.

Specs I would like:

65inch or more

100Hz or more

less then 1000€

It's a tough one, yes, but if I need I would bump the budget up to a little more.

I had maybe a Samsung QLED in mind, but maybe you know something better?

Thanks in advance!

-What is your viewing distance--how close are you planning to sit to the display?

-Are you planning to game on it?

-Is price/size more important, or color accuracy/black levels/etc?

-Would you ever consider a projector?

-4m viewing distance thats why I want 65 inch - 75 is too expensive and a projector isn't flexible enough for the room

-I want to game on it, yes. I have an RX 6700 XT

-Price/size is more important than the highest quality of picture, as light and stuff wont also be perfect. It's not a home theater, as long as it looks decent I'm good.

Found the TCL 65C815, what are your opinions on it? Available for 900€ in germany.

Or the Samsung GQ65Q70A for 1000€

Both are QLED and have 100 Hz

65" is small for a 4m distance, imho.  That's about 157".  I use a rule of thumb that most people will be happy somewhere between 1"-2" of distance for each 1" of screen diagonal.  My viewing distance is nearly the same, and I'm using a 110" screen for my projector--and viewing wise, I could have gone bigger.

If 4k isn't a requirement, you might be able to find an Ultra Short Throw projector with 1080p that will fit in your budget.  But then you'd still need a screen.

What about this 75"?  It's not 120hz, but....

TCL 75S425

is about $1200 on amazon US.  Not sure if there's a comparable model in germany.  I suck at shopping foreign sites.
