My friend and i are building a fairly top end pc but no matter what we do we cant get it to post, we've updated bios with Bios flashback, checked all major cables, unplugged all minor cables, used different ram sticks in different ram slots and were not getting anywhare, specs are as followed 

Ryzen 9 5900x
ROG Strix B550-a Gaming

Corsair vengance ddr4 3600mhz

ROG Strix RTX 3080 White edition.

i would appreciate it if  someone with discord could drop into a call with us and try help us. thank you!

They meant what power supply. 8 pin EPS is connected, 24 pin is connected? Are you sure you didn't get the power switch and reset switch backwards?

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

Yes i have made him pull out all his case wires and manually bridge his power pins just to make sure

oh also im not 100% sure let me ask him

 

after asking him its the Coolermaster V850

Yes, i that was the 1st thing i thought was the problem, it was the auto rename app and i went over it to make sure it was named the correct name

Have him clear CMOS and try again.

Do any of the debug LEDs come on on the motherboard? Ram is in the 2nd and 4th slot from the CPU socket? B2 and A2?

Im having him do it now, no lights turn on

We're currently testing his GPU, PSU and Ram in his old pc, sadly its intel based so we cant test MB and CPU

Confirmed it is not the GPU, PSU or Ram. now we gotta worry about MB and CPU (Although a lot is off his chest since the gpu cost more than double CPU and MB combined)
