I am surprised that ur temps are that low, the only airflow I can see is the little gap between the front panel and the rest of the case

That case does surprisingly well. The piece on the front panel is forward enough of the rest of the case to do well. I can usually keep my 1070 and 2070 under 80C folding or mining.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

Why is the 5800x so hot?

Im surprised anyone even bothers with overclocking cpus anymore

Any noticable improvements in cpu performance? Cause ryzen doesnt gain that much from oc

Also overclock the ram, looking at the ram speed and timings its either ballistix or neo rams so you should be good on ocing, find the highest stable clock and start lowering the timings

Well I do have 7 fans in it., but ya, D15 is great. Plus I didn't really OC that much, and made the scalar 1x to keep voltage low.

Ya its crucial ballistics. Happy with the 3600 XMP profile. Didn't want to take too long on OC'ing anything, when I say 2 days it was fiddling with it for an hour and letting it run the stability test once each day.

My multicore stock was surprisingly low for some reason, like 4.2~4.3. So some tweaking helped it out.

7% improvement, not huge, but voltage is decent and temps are good so I am happy. Firestrike score went from 38900 to 41500, so not too bad. 🙂

Thanks! Really excited. Oh and the part that I like to geek out a little about is the network drive. I have the 8 3tb drives in a dual parity raid, and I used 15 gb of my ram as lvl 1 cache and the 512 gb nvme as the lvl 2. Surprisingly quick!

And i thought cpu ocing doesnt do anything anymore

I think its more worth ocing ram nowadays, you can get a noticable performance boost by lowering timings

I'll give it a try. Wonder how high it'll go. 1:1 with the infinitt fabric at 4000 mhz would be nice
